HE President of Malta Dr George Abela visits the Beland Band Club

Presidential Visit at Zejtun
As part of his visit in our town, Zejtun, Dr George Abela made his first official visit as the President of Malta inside the Beland Band Club. He was greeted by President of the Beland Band Club Dr Alexander Cachia Zammit and by all the members of the Administrative Committee and subcommittees of the Beland Band Club.

Dr Abela declared that he was really enjoying his short stay with us and that it was a real pleasure to receive such a warm welcome. Dr Cachia Zammit presented Dr Abela with a number of gifts, including a donation to the Community Chest Fund that is chaired by Dr Abela himself. Dr Abela accepted heartily the gifts outlining the importance of such donations which are always of great importance in order to help persons with special medical conditions, and that it such a noble deed to have voluntary organisation like the Beland Band Club who dedicate thoughts and funds for such causes.

Dr George Abela signed the visitors’ book and accepted Dr Cachia Zammit's invitation to participated in the festivities of the 150th Anniversary of the Beland Band in 2011.
